Historic Roman Bathhouse
The Roman Bath is built over a Roman bathhouse dating from circa 71-122 AD, discovered in the 1920s during demolition of the previous building. A guide at the entrance answers questions, and visitors can see the bathhouse in the cellar for a £3.50 charge. The pub walls are covered in Roman murals related to York's Roman history.
