"Situated literally minutes walk from the busy city centre, this hotel offers great value, the rooms were comfortable, shower facilities were in good working order, hotel full Scottish was very impressive offering everything and more (much cheaper if you book whilst there and NOT via a 3rd party) in a huge vaulted dining room, evening meals were delightfully large and reasonably priced too, the hotel is bursting with charm and history with a celeb wall of previous visitors from Bonny Prince Charlie to the Beatles with loads of others too many to name, it opened in 1699 and is doing something right, it has obviously been modernised but retains a lot of period features, my thanks to the staffwho were superb in every aspect"
