The Well Guesthouse takes its name from the original well set in the restaurant floor, covered with bulletproof glass. Guests can stand on the glass and look down the 30-metre shaft of this original feature, established in 1658. The inn was originally a coaching inn and is situated on the Ridgeway path, Europe's oldest highway.

Pre-arranged dinner is served at 19.00 with a choice of three main courses from £18.00, plus sweets and desserts at £8.00. Packed lunches are available at £8.00 and can be ordered on arrival, with no plastic used in packaging. The bar serves local ales, and guests can enjoy home-cooked meals with vegetarian and vegan options.

All en-suite accommodation is housed in a quiet annex separate from the main inn, with two double and two twin rooms on the ground floor.
